MY STORY...
My adventure into the hair industry began when I was just fourteen years old.
At that time, the allure of securing a Saturday job drew my friend and I into the field as we searched for work together. ( Thats right back then 14 year old's could work saturday's!)
(Fast forward 20 years and we're both still passionately pursuing our careers.)
I had no idea that starting so young would enable me to cultivate my career and acquire the essential experience and skills to observe, learn and evolve into who I am today.
I took every opportunity during summer and school holidays to immerse myself in learning. By the age of sixteen, what began as a simple weekend job transformed into the foundation of a fulfilling long-term career beginning at Belfast's Academy of Hair and Beauty where I studied for three years.
I have to thank the stylist's that took the time to teach me over the years as my skill's wouldn't be the same without them today.
At the age of Twenty, my curiosity drove me to pursue further development, leading me to earn a Higher National Certificate in Business at Belfast Metropolitan college.
Ultimately, I took a bold step to establish my own venture in the area that ignited my passion the most-
The Art of Dressing Hair.
Thus, my journey as Pro Hair by Catherine beagn. Throughout this process, I have had the privilege of meeting incredible indivduals and building a business dedicated to styling bride's and their parties throughout Northern Ireland and the republic.. a mission i hope to continue for as long as possible!
I am also co-founder of Bridal Artistry NI collaborating with an amazing handpicked team of bridal hair and make-up artists across NI.
